My product's main users will be college students, so my avatar will be a current student in college.
My customer avatar is a 20-year-old female from Long Island, New York who is currently attending the University of Florida. The University has always been her dream school, and she was so excited to attend because many friends from her home town were going as well. She decided upon UF because of the diverse culture and many academic opportunities that it had for her. She is a business student and lives at the Standard apartment complex. Due to the fact that she lives right across campus, she often finds herself eating at restaurants on campus. Although she does not have a meal plan and cooks her own food in her apartment, when she needs a quick bite she travels to campus. In her free time, she enjoys working out and staying healthy.
With her constant busy schedule, she is not always able to prepare herself a meal. This frustrates her because it can be difficult for her to find healthy options on or close to campus. Since she does not have a car, she is forced to choose the restaurants closest to her. She is hoping that UF will soon introduce healthier options to campus.
I have a lot in common with this student. We are both from out-of-state and came to UF looking for new opportunities. I am also planning on living at the Standard and agree that it is the easiest option to eat food close to campus since I do not have a car. I do not think this is a coincidence because many people are in this exact situation. People who do not have on campus meal plans and are without a car need places to eat, but it can often be hard to find some healthy options. It is easy to relate to this persona because in this day in age, many college students are trying to stay healthy and active. It can be extremely hard to eat healthy in college, which I have experienced first hand my freshman year.

17A - Elevator Pitch No. 2
17A - Elevator Pitch No. 2

Sadly, I did not have any comments on my last elevator pitch so I could not get criticism from my classmates. However, I did not let this stop me! Since I am currently at home, I had my parents look over my last elevator pitch and give me some critiques. I also critiqued myself and noticed my last elevator pitch was pretty cringe-worthy. Here are the things I needed to work on:
1. I used my hands way too much.
2. I talked really fast and loud. I do this a lot in general, so I definitely knew I needed to work on that.
3. My hook wasn't very interesting.
In order to improve my elevator pitch, the first thing I did was improve my hook. I had a shorter hook that was more intriguing and straight to the point. Secondly, I spoke a lot calmer and at a more normal volume, and I tried my hardest to keep my hands out of the screen and only use them when necessary. Although this wasn't one of my critiques, the quality and lighting of my previous elevator pitch was extremely poor. Luckily since I am at home, I have a ring ling that I was able to use which I think drastically improved the look of my elevator pitch. Although I still do not think it's perfect, it is a huge improvement and is a lot less cringe-worthy.
